Design HashMap

advancedlayer A9 · Design problems5 tests

Build a hash map from scratch, without using the built-in Map, Set, or a plain object as the store.

  • new MyHashMap(bucketCount) — bucketCount is optional and defaults to 769
  • put(key, value) — insert, or overwrite an existing key
  • get(key) — the value, or -1 if the key is absent
  • remove(key) — delete the key if present; removing a missing key is a no-op
  • Keys are non-negative integers. Different keys will land in the same bucket, and your map must still keep them apart
