Surrounded Regions

Given a board of the strings 'X' and 'O', capture every region of 'O's that is completely surrounded by 'X's by flipping those cells to 'X'.

  • A region of 'O's is not captured if any of its cells touches the border of the board
  • Modify board in place — the function's return value is ignored
  • Cells connect horizontally and vertically only
