Balanced Binary Tree

A binary tree is height-balanced when, for every node, the depths of its two subtrees differ by at most one. Return whether the given tree qualifies.

  • Checking only the root is not enough — the imbalance can sit deep inside
  • An empty tree and a single node are balanced
  • The naive version recomputes depths repeatedly; one traversal is enough
